Carlyle Place Website
Overview
Collaborating with Carlyle Place, a Life Plan Community, Love & Company aimed to develop an engaging website that would enlighten users about the exceptional benefits of their community and attract qualified leads. As the UX designer, I was pivotal in shaping the site's structure, outlining compelling content, and establishing a captivating visual identity. Through close collaboration with the developer, I ensured the website faithfully translated the original mockups into a seamless blend of functionality and design. Furthermore, I actively contributed to the creation of pages and the population of content, enhancing the overall user experience once the theme was finalized.

The Process
The journey began by thoroughly researching the client and their competitors, carefully identifying their needs and requirements. With a solid foundation in place, the next step involved creating a comprehensive sitemap and outlining the content strategy to define the optimal solution. Moving forward, the focus shifted to the creative process, generating innovative ideas and crafting wireframes tailored to various screen sizes. Finally, the meticulous process of prototyping, development, and rigorous testing ensued, ensuring every detail was finely tuned to deliver an exceptional user experience.
Design System
Building a robust design system plays a vital role in maintaining brand consistency across multiple platforms. In this particular project, the focus was on incorporating vibrant color accents for CTAs while utilizing subtle background patterns. The utmost importance was placed on ensuring comprehensive accessibility for all users during website design. I meticulously selected colors that offered ample contrast between elements and prioritized legibility for the primary senior audience by employing larger font sizes and user-friendly sans-serif typefaces. Additionally, I optimized all components for keyboard navigation and diligently added alt tags to images, enhancing compatibility with screen readers and other assistive devices.
Result
Following rigorous testing, proofing, and further testing, the outcome was an impressive 29-page website that achieved an outstanding AAA accessibility rating. The client and their residents expressed their utmost satisfaction with the final result, leaving rave reviews for the seamless user experience and inclusive design.
